Doba Cafe

Project Summary

• Doba is a family owned small business in a great city with a small town feel that wanted to update their online presence. 

• They are located in multiple places across the internet and it’s a challenge to get all of her clients pinned to one location. 

• They have a facebook page but want their online presence to reflect their fun and bright brick and mortar.The site and branding created serve to update their branding and make it cohesive in the real world and digital world.

The Problem

• The user has a Facebook page as their site which was great as they were getting their business off the ground. Now that they’re thriving they want to invest in building a site and having solid branding.

Goals

• Clients can reach the donut pastry and cafe page to find out more information about the business. 

• The client can more efficiently establish their business online and communicate brand value.

Analysis

• Market research was conducted on competitors to investigate the market currently offered and be inspired by particular features that would benefit the client.

UI

• This is already an established business with a cute pink exterior and neon signs as you walk in the door. Pink is indicative of sweetness, excitement and youth amongst other things. I opted to focus on pink and brighten it up to excite the viewer and encourage them to check out this particular donut shop and cafe.

Small businesses are great for the community. They bring about jobs and encourage people to stay in the area. Donut shops have the potential to be very profitable especially when other items are added to the menu. It diversifies the products offered, but doesn’t neglect the main reason for the shop. Having a website solidifies branding, extends reach and builds trust in the business which is especially helpful for local businesses as the community around them helps bring legitimacy.
